Sights and Sounds of Revival
  • Laurel Living Hope - Pastor David Boggs reports a record attendance of67 on Sunday August 12. They had a wonderful service and he believes, a sign of things to come. Pastor Boggs also reports that on Sunday August 5, they baptized 15 in the backyard pool of his home. He and his wife Betty are thrilled and excited about what the Lord is doing. To God be the Glory!

  • Bishop J. Martin Taylor - in the death of his mother on July 23, 2007
  • Pastor Ray Parsons, Federalsburg, MD - in the sudden passing of his father on August 27.

Around the Region
  • Federalsburg Park Lane - Pastor Ray Parsons reports that July 15 was another historical Sunday for the church. After an intensive 3 year stewardship campaign to eliminate a 36 year old mortgage - they unanimously voted to‘pay the entire balance of the mortgage’ effectively immediately!! This vote isanother testimony of God’s favor and fingerprint upon the growth at Park Lane. This “pay-off” is four (4) years ahead of schedule. Praise the Lord!

  • Harvest Temple Church of God - Rev. Gerald Sargent, Boy’s Min Coordinator reports that the boys enjoyed a rendezvous style campout in the Sargent’s backyard. The boys ranged in age from 8 to 10. The campers ended their outdoor experience as invited guests to the Harvest Temple Men’s Fellowship Breakfast.

Congratulations to
  • Ray & Lorrunda Sewell, Baltimore Brooklyn, on the birth of their first child, a daughter, Hadassah (Esther’s Jewish name) Larae born August 27, weighing 5’ 15” and 171/2 in. long. Both mother and baby are doing great. Father is pretty proud, too.

  • Naomi Miller, Essex - her father, who lives in California had open heart surgery
  • Pastor Billy Humphrey, Baltimore Brooklyn - recovering from surgery from a broken foot
  • Phyllis Stanley, Newark Living Waters - recovering from surgery
  • Rev. Nancy Soulsman, Berlin Ocean City - recovering from surgery
  • Betty Rice, College Park - The doctors have serious concerns about Sister Betty’s liver and she is still not very mobile and unable to attend church very often.
  • Rev. Alton King, Fruitland Crossroads had a stint put in his heart. He had a 99% blockage in one artery. He is home recovering.
  • Rose Subryan, Riverdale New Testament - Had an exploratory procedure about a week ago to see if she had a heart blockage. Doctors found no blockage but while doing the procedure punctured an artery and caused a blockage that has caused her left leg to be paralyzed, also with nerve damage to her foot. She is at home now recovering and trusting God for a complete healing and ability to walk again. She must use crutches at this time.

  • Ruth Stant - has heart problems
  • Jackie Fletcher - needs heart surgery but because of the condition of her arteries cannot have surgery.
  • Beaula Johnson - recently suffered a heart attack and is having a problem controlling her sugar count.
