Dear Partner in Women’s Ministries,
Happy Easter! Spring is on the way! Let us rejoice as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior. Hosanna! He is risen, He is risen indeed! I’m sure that your church will be blessed by the Easter activities you have planned for Sunday March 23 or throughout Holy Week. I read that this is the earliest we have celebrated Easter since the year 1913.
Another very important March priority is our annual women’s conference to be held March 28 and 29 at the Heritage Community Church in Severn with the theme “The Promise is for You and Your Children.” Our special guests are Kathy Isaacs from Louisiana and Margaret Gaines from Alabama. I do hope that you will join us, along with a group of women from your church. These are wonderful times of worship and fellowship with our sisters. Join me in prayer for a mighty move of the Holy Spirit. Those of you who heard Kathy at our Ministers and Wives Retreat know we are in for a blessing with her messages. Margaret Gaines, former missionary to the Arabs in Palestine, is one of my dearest friends. Her love for the Lord and His work radiates in her life and her ministry will be an inspiration to you.
It is my privilege to share with you that Andrea Reid is now serving as our Evangelism Coordinator. She and her husband, Bill come to us from a very successful pastorate at the Salisbury, Parkway Church. She is such a gracious lady and very passionate in her love for the Lord. I know that God is going to use her to bless and challenge us. It is a joy to welcome the Reids to our team!
You are some of the most creative and insightful women in the world using your wisdom and experience to do ministry in the area where you serve. I am proud to be partnered with you and want to assist you in any way that I can. My prayer is that 2008 will be the most fruitful year of ministry that you have ever experienced! There are so many women who are hurting and who need the good news that you have to share.
Ron and I were privileged to travel to Kenya on February 28 to visit and minister at the Kibera Kids Center with Jim and Debora Womble. What an awesome trip! We are so blessed in America and take so much for granted. God forgive us.
I would love to share our experiences with you sometime. Please pray for Kibera!
I love you!
Lynda
