Dear Partner in Ministry:
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV). It is now summer, a time for refreshing and renewing.
Summer is a time for Camp Meetings and Delmarva-DC is blessed with a wonderful Camp Meeting season in four locations. We have just concluded the Western and Far Western Camp Meetings with a great week of worship and celebration. Dr. Hugh Bair and Dr. Bryan Cutshall were mightily used of God in these meetings. Attendance averaged nearly 500, many were blessed and renewed and many were filled with the Holy Spirit. An often heard comment was “I wish we could continue on.”
As this newsletter goes to press the Baltimore-Metro Camp Meeting is underway at Evangel Cathedral with Evangelist Jonathan Ziegler. We are anticipating another awesome week together in His presence.
The REGION WIDE CAMP MEETING will be held June 22-27 at the Raymond E. Crowley Worship Center in Seaford, June 22-27. This promises to be the cap stone of our entire Camp Meeting season. Full information and lodging details are enclosed. MAKE YOUR PLANS TO JOIN WITH US – you will be glad you did!
Summer is also a time for Youth Camps. Our Delmarva-DC camps scheduled for July 14-18 are already at near capacity. This will be a life changing week for your youth!
This summer is also time for the General Assembly of the Church of God to be held in San Antonio, Texas August 4-9. This is a time along with Camp Meeting season to renew acquaintances as well as come together for worship and the business of the church. Be much in prayer that God will direct this great church and His will be accomplished!
Also, you and your family need and deserve a special time of refreshing sometime this summer. Do something special! Not necessarily extravagant, but spend time together. Make time to “come apart lest ye come a part!”
There will not be an issue of CONNECTION for the months of July and August. Publication will resume with the September edition. Please note the Prayer Calendars included for your church. We must continue to keep prayer as our highest priority!
Have a blessed summer! I look forward to seeing you somewhere along the way!
Your pastor,
Ron Martin
