Dear Partner in Ministry:

To have been present in the upper room on the day of Pentecost must have truly been an awesome experience!  However, I believe if we were to speak to Peter today he would perhaps ask us “what is it like to live in the last days?”  For while the upper room outpouring surely was an incredible experience, we now have the privilege to live in the last day promise, “I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh, and YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY!” (Acts 2:17)  It is now estimated that there are more than 650 million Pentecostals around the world.  Our General Overseer has reported that just in the Church of God more than 500,000 have reported having received the baptism in the Holy Spirit since the beginning of last fall!  Surely none of us would dispute that according to the signs around us these must be last day times and statistics seem to bear out the outpouring upon all flesh!

Therefore, the theme of this years’ Camp Meeting Season in the Delmarva-DC region – “YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY!” We enter this season with much prayer and preparation.  Three dynamic camp meetings will be held in four locations across the region between May 18 and June 27.  The included promo will give full details and a  camp meeting promotional DVD will soon be provided to every church and pastor.  Now is the time for all good men and women to come together under the Banner of Pentecost!  More than being expected to come, I hope you will want to come and pastors bring your congregation with you.  In these settings there is usually an atmosphere that is different from the local church and we expect in an atmosphere of worship and Pentecostal fire and furor for many to be filled and refilled!  The best in music, singing, preaching, child care and worship are anticipated.  PLEASE MAKE THIS A MUST ON YOUR CALENDAR!

Additionally, all pastors please be reminded of the final days of our PENTECOSTAL P“A”SSION emphasis.  “A” of course is for assimilation or discipleship (church membership).  Excellent reports have been coming into the office of new members being received into the church.  One church recently received 55 new members in one month.  I urge you to give this your best effort in May.  In order to be eligible for awards as projected members must be received into the church in time for your May reports and sent in no later than June 5.  THERE IS SO MUCH WE CAN ACCOMPLISH TOGETHER!

I anticipate a wonderful season of spiritual refreshing that comes only from the Lord.  We all need it!  I look forward to seeing you at camp meeting 2008!

Your pastor,

Ron Martin
